TMS Protection was founded in Kent in 2013 by Managing Director Tom Devine, a former Kent Police officer. More than a decade later, Kent remains the heart of the business.
Our head office is in Maidstone, 170 of our 245 officers are based across the county, and our management team has direct, day-to-day knowledge of the communities, councils and businesses we serve here.
This is not a company that covers Kent from a distance. It is where we started, where we are based and where we have built the relationships that define how we work.
Presence In Kent
Our head office is at GHL House, 12-14 Albion Place, Maidstone, Kent ME14 5DZ. We operate a 24/7 control room from this location, staffed by real people around the clock.
Of our 245 officers, 170 are based in Kent. This means we have the resources to respond quickly, cover shifts at short notice and deploy local people to community-facing contracts where local knowledge matters.
Our Highfield accredited training centre is also located in Maidstone, allowing us to deliver contract-specific training without staff spending hours travelling to external facilities.

Services
Clients &
TMS Protection holds a security contract with Maidstone Borough Council covering access control and reception duties at Trinity House, systematic locking and unlocking of council parks and public spaces, event security for council-hosted events and keyholding and rapid alarm response across the estate.
TMS Protection provides security across Bellrock Group’s industrial and commercial portfolio in Kent and the South East. Services include access control, gatehouse operations, vehicle inspections, high visibility patrols, CCTV and alarm monitoring, daily incident reporting and emergency response liaison.
Social
TMS Protection’s social value work extends into London through several active initiatives.
We operate a clothing donation station at a client site in Stratford, collecting garments for donation to Shelter. For the past two years we have provided free stewarding at the Walk for Home event in London, reducing the operational cost for Shelter and allowing those funds to be used elsewhere.
We hold recruitment fairs at venues across the county, including at Maidstone United Stadium, and advertise roles through local platforms including kentjobs.co.uk and local Job Centres. We actively recruit from NEET and disabled backgrounds and are a Disability Confident employer.
Our CSAS training is delivered by Kent Police at our Maidstone head office, strengthening the relationship between TMS Protection and local policing. In 2026, six additional officers completed CSAS training at this facility.
We are a Living Wage employer. All London-based staff are paid at least the real Living Wage.
