TMS Protection holds a comprehensive set of independently verified accreditations across security, quality, environmental management, staff vetting and training.
Each one is maintained through ongoing compliance, regular external audit and continuous improvement. Together they represent the standard of business you are dealing with.

Every logo in our accreditation strip represents an independently verified standard that TMS Protection has met and continues to maintain.
TMS Protection Ltd currently holds SIA Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) status for the provision of Door Supervision, Security Guarding and Key Holding, CSAS ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and BS 7858 staff vetting.
SIA Accreditation
What It Means
TMS Protection gives clients two layers of reassurance: company-level SIA Approved Contractor status and individually licensed officers deployed to site.
You are not simply booking a guard. You are working with a security provider that is assessed, checked and structured for compliant delivery.
SIA Approved
Held at organisation level. Every deployed officer also holds a current SIA Licence.

SIA Approved
CSAS aCCREDITED
The Community Safety Accreditation Scheme is a policing scheme operating under the Police Reform Act 2002.
It enables police forces to grant specific powers to members of the public and organisations working in community safety roles. These are powers that standard security operatives do not hold.
Kent Police Accredited
TMS Protection is accredited under CSAS by Kent Police. This accreditation was reaudited in 2025 and in 2026 a further six officers were upskilled to CSAS standard, with the course delivered by Kent Police at our Maidstone head office.
CSAS Course
- Introduction to the Community Safety Accreditation Scheme, including its purpose, objectives and legal basis
- The legal framework and powers available under the Police Reform Act 2002
- Communication and conflict management
- Roles and responsibilities of CSAS accredited officers
- Community engagement and crime prevention
- Use of equipment and accurate incident reporting
- Health, safety and personal wellbeing
- Ethical practice, confidentiality and the Code of Conduct for accredited persons
Screening
After completing the course, each officer applies to a police vetting team and is screened to Police Vetting Level 2 standard. Only once this is passed is the officer authorised to exercise the powers assigned to TMS Protection by each police force.
Powers Held
Our CSAS accredited officers are authorised to exercise the following powers within the areas covered by our accreditation:
- Requiring the name and address of a person believed to have committed an act of anti-social behaviour
- Dealing with begging
- Stopping cycles
- Requiring persons aged under 18 to surrender alcohol
- Requiring persons drinking in designated public places to surrender alcohol
- Requiring the name and address of a person believed to have committed a relevant offence
ISO 9001
ISO 9001 is the international standard for quality management systems. Holding this certification means TMS Protection operates within a documented, audited framework that drives continual improvement across every aspect of our service delivery.
ISO 14001
ISO 14001 is the international standard for environmental management systems. TMS Protection holds ISO 14001 certification and operates an accredited Environmental Management System that provides a formal framework for identifying, managing and reducing our environmental impact.
More About ISO 9001
In practice this means our processes for recruitment, training, vetting, contract management, incident reporting and client communication are all structured, monitored and reviewed against defined standards. It is not self-assessed. It is externally audited.
For clients managing multi-site contracts or operating within their own governance frameworks, ISO 9001 certification is a baseline indicator that TMS Protection can be held to account in a structured and verifiable way.
More About ISO 14001
At the start of each contract we develop an Environmental Aspects and Impacts Register specific to that site. This ensures environmental risks are identified and mitigated from day one rather than managed reactively.
For clients with their own carbon reduction commitments or ESG reporting requirements, working with an ISO 14001 certified supplier supports your own environmental objectives and supply chain accountability. Full detail on our environmental commitments is on our ESG page.
BS 7858
BS 7858 is the British Standard for security screening of individuals employed in a security environment. All TMS Protection staff are vetted to this standard before they set foot on a client site.
It enables police forces to grant specific powers to members of the public and organisations working in community safety roles. These are powers that standard security operatives do not hold.
Vetting Standards
Each officer also completes a 12-week probationary period. In addition to pre-employment vetting, we carry out weekly screening for all staff against the SIA watchlist and annual DBS checks.
BS 7858 vetting is not an optional extra at TMS Protection. It applies to every person we employ without exception. When we send someone to your site, you can be certain of what we know about them.
SafeContractor
SafeContractor is a health and safety accreditation scheme that assesses organisations against recognised health and safety standards before they are approved to work with clients. TMS Protection holds current SafeContractor membership.
Highfield Accredited
TMS Protection operates an in-house Highfield accredited training centre. Highfield is one of the United Kingdom’s leading awarding organisations, recognised by Ofqual and operating across security, hospitality, retail and public safety sectors.
What Does It Mean
Holding Highfield accreditation means our training centre and trainers have been assessed against defined quality standards. We do not rely on external providers to train our people. We do it ourselves, with our own qualified trainers, at our own facility.
The Highfield eLearning Platform is used for ongoing continuous professional development. Every TMS Protection officer completes one relevant training module per month as part of their personal development plan, reviewed monthly by Quintin Coetzer, Training Manager and Assessor.
