Founded in 2013 by Managing Director Tom Devine, a former Kent Police officer, we have spent more than a decade building a reputation that our clients rely on and our competitors measure themselves against.

Directly employed officers
All 245 of our officers are employed directly by TMS Protection. We do not use agencies or subcontractors. Every person we deploy has been recruited, vetted to BS 7858 standard, trained and managed by our own team.
A 24/7 control room staffed by real people
Our control room in Maidstone operates around the clock. It monitors every deployment in real time through SmartTask, with GPS confirmed attendance, live body worn camera feeds and hourly officer check calls. When something happens on your site, we know about it as it unfolds.
A named contact for every client
Every TMS Protection client is assigned a dedicated contract manager. You have a direct line to the person responsible for your contract at all times.

Jessica Payne
Biography
Jess manages financial transactions and accounts records for TMS Protection, ensuring they are current and accurately maintained. She works closely with HR and Operations to ensure employee hours are accurately recorded and payroll runs smoothly. Jess also contributes to client contract management.

Outside Work
In her spare time, Jess and her family love travelling and experiencing new cultures.
Jodie Lockwood
Biography
Jodie manages all recruitment, vetting and HR functions for TMS Protection. She brings a range of administrative and HR skills to the role, with a strong ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously.

Jodie’s qualifications and responsibilities include:

- Mental Health First Aider
- Social Value Champion
- 96% TUPE transfer retention rate under her management
- Responsible for maintaining personnel files, workforce management platform and employee contracts
- Conducts all initial and refresher vetting procedures

In her spare time, Jodie loves spending time with her young family.
Georgie Powell
Biography
Georgie has 11 years of industry experience and is responsible for shift allocation and the day-to-day management of operational staff across Kent. She is also responsible for ensuring all aspects of our events are well-organised and seamlessly executed.

Georgie’s qualifications include:

- Community Policing Volunteer

Georgie acts as Contract Manager on a number of accounts and conducts a minimum of two site visits per week on active contracts, including unannounced visits.

In her spare time, Georgie loves spending time with her son.
Tom Devine
Biography
Tom founded TMS Protection in 2013 following a career as a Police Officer with Kent Police. He has 24 years of experience in the security industry and leads the business with the same values-driven approach that shaped the company from its first day of trading.

Tom’s involvement in national security and events bodies is not honorary. It shapes how TMS Protection approaches crowd management, event planning and community safety at a contract level. When you work with TMS Protection on an event or a public realm contract, you are drawing on knowledge that influences national industry standards.

Outside of work, Tom enjoys the gym, Jiu Jitsu, fishing and spending time with his family.
